Although it was not disclosed to auction goers until the next day, an excited crowd bid up the high end personal effects and household contents that were described only as belonging to a "prominent sports celebrity". Only upon reading the account of the auction in the next day's paper did auction attendees realize that the items purchased the day before, including this beautiful Bally Kings of Steel, belonged to Allen himself!
