1988 Taxi

From the mid-80's forward, Williams Manufacturing was the dominent force in pinball. With such hits as Black Knight, Comet, Cyclone, and Police Force, Williams literally blew away the competition with their fantastic gameplay, dazzling light shows, great sound effects, music, interesting themes and artwork! Out of this long tradition of hits, Taxi represents yet another outstanding example in Williams long run of players' favorites!

Spectacular figure eight ramps,an exciting joyride skill shot, and such celebrity riders as Santa, Dracula, Lola, and Mikhail Gorbachev (who woulda' thought?) combine to make a fun and laugh-filled ride! There's even a little Williams pinball designer's joke - one of the possible passengers shown on the playfield and backglass is Pinbot, the "star" of one of Williams' biggest pinball hits from a few years earlier!! Carrying the inside jokes a little farther, if you examine the backglass artwork closely, you will notice several of Williams earlier pinball machines given a cameo appearance on a sign outside of the "Williams Pinball Palace".
