Buckaroo

Here it is! The holy grail of '60's pinball - Gottlieb's 1965 Buckaroo!! A classic Gottlieb wedgehead which needs no introduction among pinball collectors worldwide, Buckaroo appeared briefly but memorably in the movie Tommy. It features a perennially favorite theme for pinball, the western, with pretty cowgirls watching the antics of a cowpoke as he attempts to tame a bucking bronco. One of the highlights of the game, delighting players and spectators alike, is the cowpoke, who gets knocked for a loop each time the player scores 100 points and the bronco kicks him on the backside! Guaranteed to generate a few laughs!

Buckaroo has a great line up of features on its loaded playfield. Roll overs, thumper bumpers, a spinning Roto Wheel, and the chance to win up to 4 free games with one carefully aimed shot! Couple that with the chance to hit the lit Special lane and old school 5 ball play, and Buckaroo is a winner which well deserves its reputation as the best of the best of '60's Gottlieb pinball!

This Buckaroo is a stunning masterpiece!! It is an absolutely museum quality restoration! To start off, the cabinet has been completely restenciled and painted by a professional pinball artist. Additionally, the playfield has been carefully and faithfully touched up by the same artist to like new condition. The backglass is in very nice original condition. And the list of new parts which have been utilized in the costly restoration process is truly wonderful. New parts include new legs, levellers, and bolts, new coin door, new coin door strike plate, new coin insert plates, new start button, new flipper buttons, new ball strike plate, new coin door rejector rods, new apron screws, new shooter rod and trim plate, new lock down bar end caps, new back door, new locks, new pop bumper skirts, new pop bumper caps, new lane guides, new acorn nuts, new "super flipper" upgraded coils, and new flipper links. Additionally, all playfield posts and leg bolts were tumbled to look like new! Five cent and quarter mechs were installed so the game works on 1 play for a nickle, 5 plays for a quarter, just like when it was new! Needless to say, all mechanisms were cleaned and adjusted, the playfield was cleaned and waxed, and all new rubbers and light bulbs were installed to assure that Buckaroo plays just as good as it looks! If you are a discriminating collector looking for a beautiful pinball to add to your collection, this one is for you!
